EPL is pleased to announce that Dr. Kathleen Funk has been nominated for Councilor for the Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP).  If elected, Dr. Funk will serve as Councilor for four years. Dr. Funk has participated on Symposium Committee from 2006–2012 and has been instrumental regarding the reorganization of educational activities associated with the symposium, the method of solicitation of CE courses for the STP annual symposium, addition of regional educational efforts, and web-based learning. “I am honored to be asked to serve as Councilor for the STP.  After fairly extensive work with educational activities the past seven years, primarily those involved with the symposium, I am eager to continue helping the smooth overall functioning of our society.  With the continued growth of our society’s and our sister societies’ profiles in the regulatory community and worldwide, there will be further need to organize and orchestrate at the executive council level in order that our stated advocacy, education, and global goals are met.  Many hands make lighter work and as Councilor I would be happy to aid the committee work as necessary to fulfill our society’s goals and to bring concerns and recommendations from our members to the Executive Committee for consideration.  I would be proud to serve our society in this capacity.” – Dr. Kathleen Funk
