EPL Presentations at the 32nd Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP) Annual Symposium


EPL is pleased to announce that our veterinary pathology staff will be associated with multiple presentations and scientific posters at The 32nd Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP) Annual Symposium to be held in Portland, OR from June 15-20, 2013.

The following EPL pathologists will be speaking on the following topics as part of The NTP Satellite Symposium, “Pathology Potpourri,” scheduled from 9:00am – 4:30pm on Saturday, June 15th:

9:10 AM–9:30 AM
An Unusual Bone Lesion in Mice

Dr. Peter Mann will give a presentation titled, “Pathology Working Groups (PWG): Definition, Application in Toxicity and Carcinogenicity Studies, and Examples,” as part of the Role of the Pathologist in GLP Studies CE Course to be held on Sunday, June 16 at 8:00am.  Dr. Kathleen Funk will co-chair the session.

Dr. Arun Pandiri will give a presentation titled, “Overview of Exocrine Pancreatic Pathobiology with Respect to Pharmacology and Toxicology,” as part of the Pancreatic Toxicity and Carcinogenesis Symposium to be held on Thursday, June 20 at 8:00am.  Dr. Pandiri will also co-chair the session.  Dr. Pandiri will be presenting two posters–“Pathology Of Tris (2-Chloroisopropyl) Phosphate (TCPP) Dietary Exposure For Thirteen Weeks In B6C3F1/N Mice and Harlan Sprague Dawley Rats”  and  “The “GIST” of Murine Gastrointestinal Spindle Cell Tumors.”  Dr. Pandiri was a coauthor of the poster, “Transcriptomic Profiling of Hepatoblastomas and Associated Hepatocellular Carcinomas in B6C3F1 Mice.”

Dr. Gabrielle Willson will be presenting two posters, “Subchronic Inhalation Exposure of Rats to Libby Amphibole and Amosite Asbestos: Effects at 1 and 3 Months Post Exposure,” and “One-Week and Four-Week Inhalation Toxicity Studies of Nickel Sulfate and Nickel Subsulfide in Rats.”

Dr. Margarita Gruebbel will be presenting a poster titled, “Duplication of Caudal Vertebrae in Adult Mice.”


Dr. Torrie Crabbs will also be presenting a poster titled, “Occurrence of Spontaneous Amphophilic-Vacuolar Renal Tubule Tumors in Sprague Dawley Rats from Sub-Chronic Toxicity Studies.”
