EPL Veterinary Pathologists Contribute to New Edition of Toxicologic Pathology Textbook

Several of EPL’s veterinary pathologists have contributed to the newest edition of the textbook, “Haschek and Rousseaux’s Handbook of Toxicologic Pathology,” which is expected to be published in June of 2013. The book, published by Elsevier, includes a chapter written by Dr. Jerry Hardisty and Dr. Peter Mann titled, “Peer Review and Pathology Working Groups ,” which are specialized types of reviews essential for assuring accuracy and data quality in a toxicology study.  The book also includes a chapter written by Dr. Terence Adams and Dr. Torrie Crabbs titled, “Basic Approaches in Anatomic Toxicologic Pathology,” which provides an introduction to the considerations, practices and techniques that are involved with the proficient performance of a repeat-dose toxicology study including aspects of protocol development, necropsy, tissue fixation, artifacts, and the recording of gross and histologic findings.
