Study design questions Goal:  What is the biological question you wish to answer? Is this a GLP-regulated or a non-GLP study? Is there a study protocol, and can we have a copy? (required for GLP studies) What is your target antigen(s)?  Are commercial antibodies available for your target(s)? What species is to be used in the study?  What tissues are to be screened for protein expression?  How many animals/tissues are to be stained?  How has the tissue been fixed? Will there be any special storage or shipment requirements? When do you need the results of the study? Can you provide positive/negative tissue controls, and appropriate tissues for protocol development? Is there a specific type of interpretation required (particular observations, scoring, etc.)? Is there a restricted timeline for receiving a quote, getting the contract signed, and/or completing the study? When do you intend to initiate the study?
