Experimental Pathology Laboratories, Inc. (EPL®) is proud to announce that Dr. Paul Snyder has been elected as President of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP). He will begin serving on the Executive Committee starting in June 2017 along with Mark J. Hoenerhoff (NIEHS) and Stacey Fossey (AbbVie) who will serve four-year terms as Councilors. Dr. Snyder will serve as President-Elect for one year prior to serving as President, then one year as Past President.
Dr. Snyder has been active with the STP over the years as a member of committees, working groups and panels. These have included the STP Executive Committee (2008-2012), editorial board for Toxicologic Pathology, Scientific and Regulatory Policy Committee, Joint Regulatory Affairs Committee, 2011 Annual Symposium Committee, Cardiovascular INHAND Committee, Stress Effects working group, HESI panel “Toxicity Testing in the 21st Century”, and Society of Toxicology (SOT) Scientific Liaison Advisor Group/Scientific Liaison Coalition. He was an Associate Editor for Toxicologic Pathology, and is currently the STP representative on the STP/ACVP Coalition board of governors, and a member of the Cosmetics Ingredients Review Expert Panel.
Dr. Snyder will become the fifth veterinary pathologist from EPL to hold this prestigious position joining Dr. Jerry Hardisty, Dr. Peter Mann, Dr. John Ferrell, and Dr. Beverly Cockerell. Dr. Snyder joined EPL in 2014 following his career as a professor at Purdue University. Currently, Dr. Snyder is the Manager of EPL Midwest located in West Lafayette, IN. His primary areas of interests are immunology, cardiovascular, medical devices and animal model development.
